The Blackpool Tower is an iconic British landmark located on the seafront in Blackpool, Lancashire. Inspired by the Eiffel Tower in Paris, it stands 158 meters (518 feet) tall and opened to the public in 1894. It houses several attractions including The Blackpool Tower, Tower Ballroom, Tower Circus, and more.

It depends on how many attractions you plan to visit. Please find below the approximate run times for each of our attractions: 

  • The Blackpool Tower – 1 hour
  • The Blackpool Tower Ballroom – per booking slot
  • The Blackpool Tower Circus – 2 hours
  • The Blackpool Dungeons - 50 minutes
     

Yes! Visitors can take a lift to The Blackpool Tower, which includes a 4D cinema experience and access to the SkyWalk, a glass floor viewing platform.

Absolutely! The Circus, Dino Mini Golf, and SkyWalk are especially popular with families. However, some children may find the height of the Tower intimidating.

Yes! Traditional afternoon tea is served in the elegant Tower Ballroom, accompanied by live Wurlitzer organ music. Booking ahead is essential, especially on weekends.

There is no dedicated parking at the Tower, but multiple public car parks are within walking distance. Central Multi-Storey Car Park is a popular nearby option.

Tickets and prices

Ticket prices vary depending on the attraction and any package deals. For all our latest pricing and offers please visit our tickets page here.

It’s highly recommended to book tickets in advance, especially during weekends, school holidays, and peak seasons. You can book online via the official Blackpool Tower website for the best prices and availability. However, tickets can be purchased on the day subject to availability. 

Discounts are available for children, seniors, and families. For discounted family tickets, please select the Standard Family Ticket option when booking. Children and Senior discounted tickets can be found under the Standard Ticket option for each attraction.

Combination tickets for multiple attractions (e.g., Tower Top + Circus) are often more cost-effective. Please note, the tickets will only be active from the date of the first attraction you book. Explore our combi-ticket offerings by heading to our ticket page here.

No, you will receive the booking confirmation which will contain the tickets for the attraction you’ve booked to attend.  

Our refunds and reschedule policy depends on the circumstance. 

Blackpool Tower: We do not offer refunds for weather permitted disruptions to visits. However, you will be able to reschedule your booking for the Blackpool Tower for any date within a year of your booking or exchange your ticket for a ticket one of our other attractions free of charge.

Please see follow the below steps for redeeming voucher codes:

  • Book your desired slot for Afternoon Tea (You will receive a voucher code through the email address provided when booking).
  • From there, please contact our Guest Services at guestservices.theblackpooltower@blackpooltourism.com to finalise your booking with your voucher. 

-    Please note that vouchers are valid for 12 months. 

Opening Hours and Visit Duration

Opening times vary throughout the year and by attraction. Generally, the Tower opens from 10:00 AM to late afternoon or early evening. Check the opening times page here for full details.

It depends on how many and which attractions you plan to visit. A single attraction (like the Tower or Ballroom) might take 1–2 hours. To enjoy multiple experiences, set aside 3–4 hours or more.

Please note that all above listings are approximate runtimes and are subject to change. Please allow plenty of time in between attraction bookings to ensure your visit runs smoothly.
