THE BEST THINGS TO DO IN BLACKPOOL (FOR ADULTS)

As family-friendly as Blackpool is, it’s also a great place for young couples or groups of adults. Amazing beaches, great entertainment and there’s so much to get up to. Whether you’re heading on a quick weekend break or a view days away with some friends, here are our six top things to do for grown-ups in Blackpool.

  1. Go clubbing

If you’re looking to let your hair down on a holiday to Blackpool, there are plenty of places to go for a dance. If you’ve spent the day at the beach, then heading out to a great dining and dancing spot is the perfect way to unwind.

  1. Go for a drink

If you want to really let loose and have a dance, clubbing is the way to go, but if you’re after a quieter night where you can where your friends, there are plenty of smaller places to go. Bar 380 is located at the very top of The Blackpool Tower, providing gorgeous views of the city - some of the best in the North West - and allows you have to relaxing drink in a tranquil setting.

  1. Go for an adrenaline rush

If you and your friends are thrill seekers, don’t be afraid to head to the Pleasure Beach - one of the most well-known theme parks in the country. There’s something for everyone, but if you’re a grown-up after an adrenaline rush then make a beeline for the biggest and scariest-looking ride in the place.

  1. Go and get scared

Even the bravest of you out there can’t help but be a little freaked out when taking a walk through The Blackpool Tower Dungeon. It’s the perfect activity to do in the afternoon or late evening; it’s hilarious fun and rather scary in places but we guarantee you’ll have a good time. And you’ll learn something too as the journey takes you through the gruesome (and true) history of Lancashire.

  1. Go to the arcades

It may be something you take young kids to, but adults can’t resist the pull of spending 2p and 10p coins on dozens of different games. It’s nostalgic, it’s fun, and it turns into a competition. Whether you’re whacking moles, racing cars, shooting at zombies or just collecting as many tickets as possible, you can spend hours of the fun in arcades no matter what age you are.

  1. Go to the beach

After all that excitement, or even before - who says you can’t do it all? - there’s nothing like a stroll down the sand to the water’s edge. The beach isn’t just for kids. We’re not suggesting you build a sandcastle (or you can if you want to!) but it can be relaxing to unwind to the sound of the waves with a special someone or a wonderful group of your closest friends.
