Spider-Man has scaled new heights to top of The Blackpool Tower ahead of his historic second figure launch at Madame Tussauds.
The masked Super Hero was spotted climbing the iron girders at the top of Britain’s most iconic seaside landmark and posing for photographs before swinging into action at his new home above Madame Tussauds on Blackpool’s famous Promenade.
The launch is a historic one because Spider-Man is now the first Super Hero in Madame Tussauds Blackpool’s history to be honoured with a second figure.
Due to popular demand the second Spider-Man figure was commissioned by Madame Tussauds bosses to welcome visitors to the famous seaside attraction.
Designed specially to withstand the elements on the famous Blackpool Promenade, the new figure is now in position and ready to greet his public.
Matthew Titherington, general manager of Madame Tussauds Blackpool, said: “The Spider-Man figure, in our newly launched Children’s Zone, has proved a huge hit and is already a firm favourite with our visitors.
“The decision to have a second figure commissioned was taken after listening to our visitors’ feedback and where better to situate him than above our entrance protecting the attraction from super villains.”
