Following nine weeks of extensive restoration work, The Blackpool Tower will re-open in full from Monday 18th March 2013.
The partial closure allowed essential work to take place, as part of the on-going renovation project, to repair and repaint the 119 year old steel legs of the Tower.
General Manager, Kate Shane, said: “We are so happy that we are back to full operational capacity and can open seven days a week. The restoration works over the past nine weeks have been a success, and we are really looking forward to welcoming visitors, from across the country, to The Blackpool Tower in time for the Easter holidays.”
Kate continued: “We’ve got an action packed Easter ahead including a new Circus show; Around the World with Mooky and Booo, The Blackpool Tower Eye is open throughout the week weather permitting, a fantastic Easter show on at The Blackpool Tower Dungeon and the return of our famous Family Parties in The Blackpool Tower Ballroom which will run throughout the holidays.”
